Your coffee table says a lot about you: what you like, where you’ve been, and even where you long to go. Since I love fashion, design and décor, and wine, naturally I have amassed a small collection of books on various aspects of these interests.
I believe your coffee table should be about you. And if you live with someone, let it be about the two of you and your family. Do you enjoy travelling? Choose a coffee table book about the place you plan to travel to next. Were you or your family born outside of Canada? Include books with pictures of the place you once called home; a reminder of where you are from and how far you have come. It is also a great conversation starter when you have company. The possibilities are really endless when it comes to choosing the books and trinkets you choose to display.
Currently on my coffee table is a year’s supply of Style at Home magazines, Domino, and surprise, surprise, A Passion for Blue & White. I’ve had Kate Spade New York: Things We Love on my table for over a year now, and as much as I love it, I think it is time for a change. Perfect timing really since Kate Spade just released this beauty. Also on my coffee table are Lucite candlesticks, a gold star-burst object, a candle from Kat Burke, and a blue bowl from Westelm. I should note that the above image is not my coffee table, but stay tuned because I plan on doing some features about my apartment!
