Winter Skin Savers

Welcome back to Style Parade. It has been far too long since my last blog post. Two months to be exact. I will explain more about my break from blogging and what I have been up to the last few months in my Style Parade Weekly roundup on Friday, so stay tuned!

Today though I am talking skincare. Over the last few years I’ve noticed a lot of changes in my skin. I went from having quite an oily t-zone and regular breakouts in my late teens and mid-twenties, to now having normal/dry skin in my late twenties. Lately I’ve heard so many co-workers and friends say that this year’s harsh winter is drying out their skin and making them look older. Winter can be incredibly demanding on our skin. I have made it my mission in 2015 to find a great eye cream, and I think I may have found it. Everyone raves about Kiel’s Creamy Eye Treatment and while I can’t see any drastic results yet (I’ve only been using it for a week), I love the feel and texture of this cream. It is really the perfect eye cream for battling -20 degree weather. I also use Kiel’s Creme de Corps as my everyday body moisturizer. La Roche-Posay Hydraphase UV with SPF 30 has been my go-to daily face moisturizer since last winter. Yes, even in winter you need to wear SPF 30 or above. I’m a huge sunscreen advocate and wear it almost every day (I blame my mom for my sunscreen obsession). I also recently introduced La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser into my daily skincare routine. I am only sorry it took me so long to discover this creamy milk cleanser! My other go-to face products include Clinique Moisture Surge,  N°7 Protect & Perfect Serum and Fresh Sugar Lip Polish.

I could do an entire blog post on the Clarisonic Mia 2 because I honestly believe it is the best money you can spend on your skin. I’ve been using it for six weeks now and my skin has never looked so fresh and clear. Two weeks into using it I was visiting my Chiropractor’s office and the receptionist commented that my skin was flawless and glowing, and asked what my secret was. Having a stranger say that was one of the nicest compliments I have ever received. I can’t wait to see the long term results of using this skin care tool!

What products do you use to battle the winter cold?
