Style Parade Weekly

Happy Friday! It was five months ago my friend, Katharyn, and I sat in my living room and booked our trip to Europe. Hard to believe we fly out of Toronto Sunday evening. We will arrive in Rome on Monday at 11:00AM Central European Summer Time (CEST), which is six hours ahead of Toronto time. Once we touch down we will have five hours to get out of the airport, check-in to our hotel, grab lunch, and do some quick sightseeing before we meet up with our tour group. If you are interested in checking out the specifics of our itinerary during our trip through Italy, France and Spain you can do so here.

Earlier this week on Style Parade I featured my Italy packing list. I won’t be blogging while I am away, but I will document my travels on my Instagram if you want to follow along!

Packing for Italy

Today I am sharing my packing list for Italy, which may just be my favourite inspiration board to date! I’ve read neutrals are key when travelling abroad in order to mix and match various clothing items and avoid overpacking. Navy and white has and always will be my favourite colour combination so when I began shopping for my trip I stuck to mainly blues and whites. I was obsessed with this dress after I saw it on one of my favourite bloggers last summer. It has since sold out, but I lucked out and found one on eBay. I’m a huge fan of Goodnight Macaroon and purchased a few items recently including this navy jumpsuit. These chic cognac, gladiator sandals from Clarks are so comfortable. I’ve been wearing them to work this week to break them in and it feels like I am walking on air. I would definitely recommend Clarks for anyone seeking stylish, supportive shoes. Boat hats are very much in style this summer and this one is perfect for Italy. Doesn’t it remind you of the wide-brim hats the gondoliers wear, along with their striped shirts, down the canals in Venice?

Can’t wait to meet you Italy!
